TASC – Welcome
The TASC project – Telemedical Acute Stroke Care – which is patronized by the BMBF, is an interdisciplinary and intramural project located at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg. The aim of the project is the sustainable improvement of the stroke medical care in Saxony-Anhalt by the use of telemedicine.
Following the lead of Prof. Dr. Matthias Raith (head of Interaktionszentrum Entrepreneurship), Prof. Dr. Georg Rose (Chair for Medical Telematics), as well as the medical scientists Prof. Dr. Martin Skalej (Institute for Neuroradiology) and Prof. Dr. Claus-Werner Wallesch (Neurologic Clinic), the access to stroke health care, specialists no matter of the spatial distance, will be secured. There will also be an efficiency gain in therapy.
